FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
How to care for my new piece?
To keep your pieces like new as long as possible, avoid sleeping, bathing, exercising and cleaning with your jewelry on. Be aware that moisture, hairsprays, perfumes, deodorants or detergents can adversely affect the appearance and or integrity of the jewelry.
You can wipe my jewelry with a soft dry cloth. Silver components may show some slight darkening over time. This is natural tarnishing and can be removed with a soft polishing cloth. Do not dip jewelry into any cleaning solutions, silver cleaning fluid or use ultrasonic jewelry cleaners. These methods will damage the hand made jewelry. When you are not wearing your jewelry, wrap it in a soft cloth and store it in a box or jewelry bag.
If the piece that you purchase is all sterling silver without beads or beading wire, you may use a sterling silver jewelry dip and then rinse in warm water with a mild liquid soap. You can then store the piece in a ziploc bag and insert an anti tarnish strip to slow down the tarnishing process.
Do you make custom pieces?
Yes. If you see a piece out of stock and would like something similar, you can contact me and let me know which piece you are interested in. Since many beads that I use are one-of-a-kind, no piece will be exactly the same as any other.
Can pieces be seen before purchasing?
I participate in some shows during the year. If you are interested in being on my mailing list, please use the contact form provided in the contact section of the website. I cannot guarantee that you will be able to view a particular piece seen on my website at the shows since it may be sold by the time I have a show. In addition, if you do not live in the DMV area, it will not be possible to view my pieces in person. However, when you view my photographs, you will see that they are an excellent representation of my necklaces. They can be enlarged by clicking the thumbnail picture of each necklace.
Can the length of a necklace be adjusted?
Yes. However, when you place your order, please indicate if you have a specific preference in terms of length. It is always useful to be familiar with the length that you need by measuring your neck or measuring a necklace that you like the length of. If I need to make an adjustment in the length of the necklace, there may be an adjustment in the price.
What if my necklace breaks?
It is possible to break any of my pieces if they are dropped onto a hard surface or handled roughly, twisted or packed without sufficient padding. If your necklace breaks during shipping and is broken when you receive it, please email me and I will contact the post office to make an insurance claim. Once I receive the payment from the insurance company, you will receive a complete refund.
If your necklace breaks through regular wear within the first thirty days of receipt, please return the necklace along with all broken parts for a full repair. You will be responsible for the shipping, however, there will be no additional charge to you for the repair.
If your necklace breaks after the first thirty days of receipt, please email me to tell me what occurred and what type of repair is required. In most cases, I can repair the necklace for a small fee plus shipping.

How does item availability and pricing work?
Almost all of the pieces on my website are one-of-a-kind. I will try my best to update my website when items are sold. However, if the piece that you have ordered is no longer available, I will email you to let you know. It may be possible for me to make another similar but not identical piece, if you prefer. In this situation, prices are subject to change based on current market pricing of silver, gold, gemstones, findings and other materials.
What if I see past work or sold items I like?
If you see a sold item in the "Past Work" section that you like, I can usually make a similar but not identical piece. Please email me with your request and I will let you know whether it is possible, how long it will take and how much it will cost.
What is your return policy?
I stand behind all of my work. If you are not completely satisfied, you can return your item in its original condition within 30 days of receipt for a full refund minus the cost of shipping. If you paid by credit card, your account will be credited. If you paid by check or money order, you will receive a check. Please email me before returning an item.
If your jewelry should ever break after this thirty day period, return it to me with all of its original pieces, and I will make every effort to fix it for you, depending on the nature of the repair. I will email you with the cost prior to making the repair.
